Subject
This development project is part of a technological innovation approach for aircraft wheels.
The aim is to develop an aircraft wheel to reduce mass, costs, maintenance, and production time.
The main challenge is to improve the numerical modeling of a major physical phenomenon for this technology to optimize the design to more accurately control the product’s resistance to the stresses imposed and its lifespan
Achievement
CTS is involved in this ongoing project as a project manager/design and calculation engineer with the following activities
- Analysis of the stakes, the required specifications, and the risks linked to the development.
- Mechanical studies for design optimization.
- Evolution and validation of numerical models specific to this technology.
- Numerical simulations to characterize the influence of design choices on the performance of parts.
- Establishment of a justification file for the design choices.
- Definition and organization of tests to be carried out on the prototypes and interpretation of the results.
- Coordination with manufacturing and testing laboratories.
- Management of the schedule and the various deliverables.
- Technological (competitive products), scientific, and academic (numerical models) monitoring.
