Escravos Gas Plant Energy
Launched in December 2007, Pazflor is the largest project operated by Total. It is a major development for Angola that has increased production by approximately 220,000 barrels per day. To produce heavy, viscous oil, Pazflor has taken on several major technological challenges, including a world-first gas/liquid separation system on the seabed.
A certain amount of gas that was previously flared has (international environmental guidelines) been recovered and processed for useful purposes.
This involves additional equipment to be designed and installed on existing and future platforms.
Pazflor uses most of the extracted gas to generate electricity to run the production vessel (FPSO3) and subsea facilities.
The project has recycled the remaining gas by re-injecting it into the sedimentary layers to facilitate oil production. The surplus was exported to the places of consumption
CTS intervened to study the different solutions for the installation of para-petroleum equipment in an offshore environment at 1300m depth for Pazflor.

The installation of the equipment went well and operations have been underway since 2011.
